DeleteTotal money = 50, Left is 10
Therefore; 50-10 = 40/3
Ans: 13.33
question number 10 : zero garland , correct answer is 60 ribbons if the question is How many ribbons? If Lita made 20 ribbons and Sally made 3/4 as many as ribbon, How many ribbon did Sally made? Considered that the total ribbon is at 100% is 80 ribbons; Lita has 20 ribbons = 1/4 or 25% and Sally has 60 ribbons = 3/4 or 75%
ReplyDelete120:40% = x:60%; 180 sampaguita garlands ; explanation if the total garlands at 100% is 400 and the share of Lita is 2/5 = 120 and the share of Kate is 3/5=180; The number of garland of Lita was given which is 120 garlands another given is the share of Kate which is 3/5; I therefore conclude that the share of Lita and Kate at 100% if Kate's share is 60% therefore Lita's share is 40% to get the 100% share divide the 40% from 120 garland to get the 100% which is 300 garlands if the share of Lita is 120 therefore the share of Kate is 300-120 = 180 garland.
